Directions:
The beach is five miles south of Ventura off Highway 101 via Harbor Boulevard.

Comment

McGrath State Beach has RV and tent camp spots.  Maximum camper length is 34 feet.  The campground has 174 developed sites with picnic tables and fire rings, and restrooms with coin-operated showers.  Approximately one mile north of the campground is a small market.  One mile north of the campground is Ventura Harbor.  The harbor/Marina has shops and restaurants.

McGrath State Beach is closed due to flooding and unavailable for camping. Please check the web periodically for updates. Once the flooding has resolved and the campground is restored, McGrath State Beach will reopen for camping on a first-come-first-served basis. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Use caution, the beach has strong rip currents.
 
5/2/15. There does not appear to be a RETURN TO SERVICE date for this campground.   Campbase does not believe it will be open in 2015.
