Description

California, Trinity River campground is located two miles north of the Coffee Creek area on Highway 3, and lies on the banks of the Trinity River. It is approximately 36 miles from Weaverville. It is very popular with travelers as an overnight campground.

Direction:

From Weaverville, take Hwy 3 north for 38 miles. Campground is on the left side of Hwy 3.  Just bevore the bridge.

Trinity River Campground is locaked on the banks of the Trinity River with river access.  This is a primitive campground. Surrounded by the Trinity River on one side and Eagle Creek on the other. It mostly attracts the tent camping population, but has several trailer length spurs. There are 17 sites with picnic table, fire rings and a vault toilet.  The trailer sites can accommodate a trailer up to 35 feet.  Seasional campground is open from Memorial day through October 31. 

The campground is in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.

The campground is first-come, first-served.  Reservations are not available.
