Zion Canyon Campground and RV Resort has 200 tent and RV camp spots.  Full hookup and pull through spots are available.  There is a Quality Inn located at this campground.  It's great for when you are traveling with those friends that don't camp.  Zion Canyon Campground and RV Resort is located in the perfect spot for enjoying Zion and the surrounding area.  The campground is also located on the Virgin River with some waterfront camp spots.  There is a free National Park bus stop in front of the campground that takes visitors through the park and to all locations in the town of Springdale.  The bus service really works out good, just park the car.  The bus can also carry two bikes.

The campground has paved roads.   Camp spots are crushed rock.  Most spots have shade and thats important durring the summer months.  Pets are allowed in the campground however, they are not allowed in the tenting area.  The views from each campsite are amazing.  Campbase had a great stay at this campground and the staff were very friendly.

Reservations are only made through the campgrounds web site provided here(http://www.zioncamp.com).  They will email you back the reservation in one to three days.  Phone reservations are not accepted except for on the arrival day.  It's a bit different but, it works.

If you need anything for your bicycle, go to Zion Cycles.  They seem to have everything and they are just two bus stops away from the campground.  Zion Cycles also has bicycles for rent.

Local Recreation:

The Spotted Dog Cafe is located across the highway from the campground.  It's a nice spot to visit with outside seating.

Also across the highway is the Zion Adventure Company.   www.zionadventures.com   They have all kinds of package tours for every type of activity.  Hiking and Canyoneering are very popular in the Zion National Park.  Several different adventure companies can be found in the town of Springdale.

Bicycles can be taken on the National Park bus to the end of the highway at "The Narrows".  From there it's an all downhill bike ride back to the information center and park entrance.

"The Narrows" hike is a very popular hike.  It's level hiking through the Virgin River.  A walking stick for balance, water, and wet shoes are essential for this hike.
