Description

Maine, Acadia Seashore Campground, previously known as Mountain View Campground.  Easy big rig access. 

Directions:

Take Interstate 95 (Maine Turnpike) to Bangor, get off at Exit 182A on Route 395. Transition to Route 1A to Ellsworth and Coastal Route 1.  Once in Ellsworth pass L.L. Bean.  At the traffic light near before McDonalds bear left onto Scenic Downeast Coastal Route 1.  Stay on this road through the town of Hancock and over a bridge. The campground is 5 miles from the bridge on the right.  Acadia Seashore Campground is on the right side.

Acadia Seashore Campground is open from May through October with 43 RV and Tent sites.  The campground is centrally located to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and the Schoodic area of Acadia.  The town of Ellsworth is just a short 10 miles from the campground.  Located right on the waterfront, the campground has bueatiful views of Cadillac Mountain and the bay.  Also on the Schoodic National Scenic Byway.  The campground has easy access from Highway 1 and can accommodate large RV's.  Campbase estimates that big rigs to 50 feet can be accommodated.  Cabins are also available.  
 
There is is a sea food restaurant next to the campground. 
 
Depending on the time of year, many areas in Maine may have ticksbees, and mosquitos.  Due to the potential problems posed by these insects it's best to arrive prepared should these insects become a nuisance.  Campbase recommends screen enclosuresrepellantsbug zappers, and mesh net hats.  Please click these links to see our recommended items.
