Broken Arrow Campground is set back from the south shore of Diamond Lake in a lodgepole pine forest.  128 RV and tent camp spots are available.  The campground has Diamond Lake access however, there are no Lake front camp spots.  Broken Arrow Campground is a quiet retreat for family and large group camping excursions onto Diamond Lake and into the Umpqua National Forest.  The campground has access to a boat launch and small boat dock.  Restrooms and one shower house are available.  Each camp spot is large with plenty of room.  Picnic tables and fire rings are provided.  There is also a dump station and drinking water.  Big rigs up to 32 feet can be accommodated.  The campground is seasional.  Opening day may depend on snow conditions.  The campground generally opens in July and closes in October.  This campground is relatively remote and there are not many services in the area.

Diamond Lake is a small lake with approximately four campgrounds located around its shores.  The lake has a 10 MPH speed limit so, it's best for small boats and kayaks.  There is a limited number of services available near the campground.  South Shore Pizza is located within a short walk from the campground.  Fuel and a few additional services are available in the small town of Diamond Lake on the north side of the lake.

This campground does have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.

Reservations are available through www.recreation.gov.

Local Recreation:

Bike loop trail.  There is a spectacular bike trail that runs from the campground and travels completely around the lake.  In some spots the path does change to surface streets.  The path has great views of the lake and surrounding snow capped mountains.

Photography is popular in this area.  In addition to Diamond Lake there are two snow capped mountains nearby.  See the Campbase PHOTOS tab for a few of our pictures.

Fishing is available on Diamond Lake.  There are some great spots to throw in a line.  The lake also has a boat launch and small launch dock.

Kayaking.  It's the perfect lake for kayaking.  Launching is easy and the lake is sheltered so waves don't usually get to big.
