Description

California, Butte Lake Group Campground, Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park(elevation 6,100 feet).  

Direction:

From Redding, drive 63 miles east on state highway 44 to Old Station. From intersection of state highway 89 and 44, continue east on state highway 44 for 11 miles. Watch for sign to Butte Lake Campground. Turn right and continue for 6 miles on a rough gravel road.

Butte Lake Group Campground, Lassen National Park.  The campground is located within walking distance from Butte Lake.  The campground is seasonal being open from 6/5/15 - 10/27/15, weather permitting.  There are 101 RV and tent camp spots are available.  RV's up to 45 feet can be accommodated in large pull-around camp spots.  Most camp spots have shade trees. Reservations can be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.  Motor boats are not allowed on Butte Lake(Creek).
