Description

California, Summit Lake North Campground Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park(elevation 6,700 ft.) is conveniently located on the main road of Lassen Volcanic National Park.  The park is closed during the winter months.  

Direction:

From Redding, California, take State Highway 44 east approximately 48 miles to the Manzanita Lake entrance of the park. The campground is 14 miles south of the entrance on the main park road. Upon reaching the Summit Lake Ranger Station continue approximately 1/8 mile to a "Service Road" turning off on the right. Turn right and continue up the road taking the first fork to the right which continues up the hill to the campsite and the stock corrals.

Comment

Summit Lake North Campground is open from 6/26 through 9/9 with 46 RV and tent camp spots.  RV's up to 35 feet can be accommodated.  Tall pine trees provide shade.  The campground does have lake access.  Motorized boats are not allowed.  There are no services near the campground.
