Southwest Walk In Campground, Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park.  This is the only campground in the park that is open all year.  It's located at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center, just inside the Southwest national park entrance.  Walk-in only, no RV's in the campground, no camp roads.  There is RV parking at the visitors center.  There are a total of 21 tent sites available.  The campground is located at 6,700 feet and it does get snow during the winter months.  Camp spots are all first-come, first-served, no reservations.  Most camp spots have large shade trees.

Note: RVs may park overnight in the campground parking lot.  There is a fee.  A dump station is located near Manzanita Lake Campground. Fee. Open late May through mid-October.  A camp store and laundry are also available at Manzanita Lake.
