Description
California, Cottonwood Creek Campground is locatd 20 miles north of Truckee at 5,800 feet in the Tahoe National Forest. The campground has easy access from Highway-89. The campground is just 100 feet off the highway.
Directions:
The campground is located approximately 5 miles south of Sierraville on Hwy 89. The campground will be on the left side of the highway.
From Truckee, head north on Highway-89. After approximately 20 miles, look for the campground entrance on the right side of the highway.

Comment
Cottonwood Creek Campground is seasonal from May through October with RV and tent camp spots available. There are no services within 5 miles of the campground. Sierraville is the closest small town, 5 miles north on Highway-89. The campground is in a remote forested area. Make sure you bring everything you will need with you. Fuel is not available nearby. Campground roads and parking pads are all paved. Most camp spots have tall shade trees. Vault toilets and drinking water is available. Each camp spot has a fire ring and picnic table.
