Description

California, Madrone Group Camp, Samuel P. Taylor State Park.  Easy paved road access from Sir Frances Drake Blvd.  

Directions:

From the town of Olema on Highway-1, take Sir Frances Drake Blvd. East.  After approximately 10 miles you will see the Samuel P. Taylor State Park sign on the right side.  Continuing East you will see the Madrone Group Camp sign on the left side.  From the East, the park is 15 miles West of San Rafael. 

The address used here may not be exact however, the Campbase map is accurate for the location of the group camp.  

Comment

Madrone Group Camp Samuel P. Taylor State Park.  The group camp site requires reservations, no walk-in's.  The group campground is located in the Samuel P. Taylor State Park where you will find natural Redwood forests, streams, and lakes.  The group camp has large shade trees with paved parking for groups.  The group site can accommodate up to 50 people.  There are restrooms with showers available.  The camping area has several picnic tables and BBQ's.  The camp is a bit remote so bring everything you need with you including fire wood.  There are no services near this group camp.  Click for additional park details

Local Recreation:

The Point Reyes National Seashore is just 10 miles to the West of the camp.  The Seashore has fantastic beaches, forests, and a light house.

Muir Woods National Monument is less than an hours drive from the camp.

There is a Redwood grove located in the park near the camp.  

Equestrian camps and facilities are available in the Samuel P.Taylor State Park.
