Description

California, Olema RV Resort and Campground is located one hour north of San Francisco.  It's also near the entrance to the Point Reyes National Seashore.

Directions:

From downtown Olema on Highway-1, proceed north.  After approximately two blocks, the campground entrance will be on the left side.

Please see the the Campbase map tab for an accurate campground location.

Note: The resort can accommodate RV's up to just about any size however, some roads leading to the resort often have vehicle length restrictions around 27 feet.  Highway-1, running past the resort does not have length restrictions but, is winding and narrow at spots.  Large RV's can be challenging in this area.  Campbase recommends 27 foot or smaller but, this is just a recommendation.

Olema Campground is open all year with 187 total camp spots.  The campground has RV and tent sites.  Pull through sites are available.  The resort has restrooms, showers, ice, picnic tables, fire rings, and a laundry.  Most camp spots have large shade trees.  Pets are welcome.  There is a large grass area for tent camping that is very nice. It's located in a picturesque location just outside the Point Reyes National Monument.  It's the closest and possibly the only campground in the area with full hookups for RVers.  Downtown Olema consists of just a few restaurants and shops but, it's only s short few blocks from the campground.  The Bear Valley Visitors Center is approximately one mile from the campground.  At the visitors center you will find all kinds of information about the area.  Make sure you have plenty of fuel when entering this area.  The closest fuel is in the small town of Point Reyes Station.  There are markets, shops, and restaurants located there.

Local Recreation:

The entrance to the Point Reyes National Monument is just blocks from the campground.  The mounument has beaches, forests, and the Point Reyes Light House.  Click here to see the national parks Point Reyes page.  Backpacking is popular in the national monument.

Muir Woods National Monument is located approximately 20 miles south of the campground.  The Monument has some of the largest trees in the area.  There is a nice walking path through the trees.  See our link here, Muir Woods National Monument
