Mt. Desert Narrows Campground is a seasonal campground opening in May and closing in October.  The campground has 239 tent and RV camp sites.  Some camp sites are right on the ocean and most spots have an ocean view.  The campground is on Mount Desert Island where you will find Acadia National Park.  The National Park Bus, Island Explorer, services the campground and most campgrounds in the area.  It's a free service with the purchase of a weekly park pass.  The bus visits all the sights in the national park and Bar Harbor.  Bar Harbor is just a short three mile drive from the campground.

The campground has full hookups making this a good location for the larger RV's.  There is easy access from the highway for large RV's.

Depending on the time of year, many areas in Maine may have ticksbees, and mosquitos.  Due to the potential problems posed by these insects it's best to arrive prepared should these insects become a nuisance.  Campbase recommends screen enclosuresrepellantsbug zappers, and mesh net hats.  Please click these links to see our recommended items.
