North Beach Campground, Pismo State Beach.

This is dry camping, there are no hookups at this campground.  There is plenty of space around each campsite.  Each camp site has a fire ring and a picnic table.  All parking pads are paved and very level.

The campground is located half a mile north of the Oceano Dunes State Recteational Vehicle area.  The campground does not have ATV access to the beach.  Only pedestrian beach access is available.  Most ATV users camp on the beach at  Oceano Dunes where ATV operation is allowed.  This campground is located approximately one block from the ocean, separated by sand dunes.  Most camp spots have shade trees.

The Monarch Butterfly Grove is located on the south side of this campground.  It's in a nicely wooded area.  The butterfly's arrive in November and depart in February.  These are very large butterfly's and they can be seen everywhere during these months.  The butterfly's can be seen clumping together in the butterfly grove.

Off-highway vehicle operation is prohibited in this park.

The pier and downtown area are located just a short walk north on Dolliver street.  Stay to the left on Cypress street and you will be here in a few blocks.

The Pismo State Beach Golf Course is located on the south side of the park.
