Oak Hollow Campground is primarily a tent campground however, RV spots are available.  There are 54 total camp spots.  Please see the campground map in our photos tab,  The campground is located three miles from the parks entrance.  There is no cell service from this location.  Starlink will also not work due to the large trees above every camp spot.  The campground has restrooms with showers and flush toilets.  Showers require tokens that can be purchased at the campground host site.  Campground roads and parking pads are all paved.  Each camp spot has a picnic table, fire ring, and bear box.  There are bears in the area and food should be stored properly in the bear box.  There are also King snakes in this area.  While not poisonous, they should be avoided.

All campgrounds in the park are seasonal.  A limited number of pull-a-round camp spots are available at Oak Hollow.  The campground is located in a natural Sequoia forest.  Many trees are giant with some reaching 320 feet tall and 33 feet around.  There is a visitors center in the park.  Calaveras Big Trees State Park features the North Grove of Giant Sequoias and the "Big Stump".  The Big Stump has been a tourist attraction for over 150 years.  The big stump was once used as a dance floor.
