California, Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area(SVRA)

Note:  There is no actual address for this campsite.  The beach campground can be entered at the end of Pier  Ave.  The longatude and latitude are accurate.

Comment

The Oceano Dunes State Vehicle Recreation Area (SVRA) offers primitive beach and dune camping with no designated campsites.  The area has vault toilets and concession services on Pier Ave.  Most motorhome don't drive down on the beach although it may be possible.  This beach campground is primarily used by four wheel drive vehicles towing trailers.  Oceano Campground is available for motorhomes and a better camping location for these vehicles.  Please check the "Other near by campgrounds" section below for campgrounds in the immediate area.

Downtown Pismo and the Pismo Pier are approximately four miles to the north of this location.

The Pismo State Beach Golf Course is located approximately one mile north on Highway 1.

The Monarch Butterfly grove is located approximately two miles north near North Beach Campground.  Monarch butterflies visit the area between November and February. 

There are numerous ATV rental companies located on Pire Ave.  Please see the pictures to the right of this page.
