Comment

Port San Luis Harbor District Campground is open all year with a limited number of RV only camp spots.  Fully self contained units only.  Camp spots are all first come, first served, saving spots is not allowed.   This RV camping area is highly desirable because it's right at the Marina and on the ocean.  Also near the pier.  It's extremely difficult to get a camp spot here during the summer months.  However, during the winter, on a weekday, spots are usually available.  There are 5 different camping areas.  Most spots do not have a fire ring or picnic table.  Some spots are full hookup while others are dry camping.  Costal Gateway and Babe Lane have the full hookups, the others are dry camping.  The first five spots at Costsl Gateway are reserved for RV's thst are towing a boat.  The Marina near the campgrounds has a pier, restaurant, ice, restroom, laundry and showers.  It's quite a fun place to camp.  campbase recommends this location.

Local Recreation:

Old downtown Avila Beach has a pier and restaurant row.  It's a good place to visit.
