Comment

Powder Horn Campground is open from May through October with tenting and RV sites.  Powder Horn is a beautiful facility located in a natural pine forest near the beach.  The campground has all the facilities and amenities that campers have come to expect from a large campground.  The camp store is well stocked and there are many recreational activities at the campground.  There is also a trolley that picks campers up at the front gate and delivers them to Old Orchard Beach.   The trolley is only $1 per ride.

If you are in the area, make sure you visit Funtown/Splashtown.  There is a link on the right side of this page.

Another interesting sight is Downtown Old Orchard Beach.  There are restaurants, Shops, a pier and amusement park.

Depending on the time of year, many areas in Maine may have ticksbees, and mosquitos.  Due to the potential problems posed by these insects it's best to arrive prepared should these insects become a nuisance.  Campbase recommends screen enclosuresrepellantsbug zappers, and mesh net hats.  Please click these links to see our recommended items.
