Quartzsite Camping is seasional from October through early April.  Summer tempratures are extremely high in Quartzsite durring the summer.  Most campgrounds in Quartzsite are closed durring the summer months.  The small town is best known for a two month long gem, mineral, and fossel swap meets.  There is also an enormous RV show.  Durring January and February the towns size can swell to almost two million people.  Most of these visitors are camping in their Rv's.  Campbase has visited Quartzsite on several occasions and documented numerous local campgrounds and RV parks in the area.  Quartzsite has everything for the RV, van, or tent camper including fuel, dump stations, full hookups, and even free camping.

Quartzsite has both free and paid campgrounds available.  All of the free camping is available on BLM land.  While the paid campgrounds usuall provide full hookups and many have paved park roads.  The cost for the paid RV parks is generally lower priced do to the competition from the free BLM land.  However, the paid parks do offer the full hookups.  For those RVers that are using the free BLM camping without hookups there are two places in town to empty sewage tanks and obtain fresh water.  The Tumbleweed RV Park has four public dump stations and four stations for refilling RV water tanks.  These services are open to the general public.  The address is 600 East Kuehn Street.  Another RV dump station is called The RV Pit Stop and is located on Highway-95 in downtown Quartzsite.  The Pit Stop address is: 425 North Central Blvd(same as highway-95).

Note:  The city of Quartzsite does NOT have a cable TV network.  None of the campgrounds in or near Quartzsite have cable TV.  Air TV is also not available.
