Directions:

From the McDonald’s in Ellsworth, follow the Bar Harbor road, Route 3 East.  Go straight East through 3 lights. The campground is about ¾ mile on your right just after the Subaru car dealership. You will see a large red/white sign, the campground is on the right.

Timberland Acres RV Park is open from May through October with tenting and RV spots.  The campground has 200 camp spots and can accommodate large Rv's.   Most camp spots have shade trees.  Located in Trenton, Maine, there are restaurants and shops located near the campground.  Pats Pizza is just a short distance away from the campground.  The campground is a good launching point for adventures into Acadia National Park.  There is a shuttle bus, during the summer months, that takes visitors to all points in the park and beyond. 

Depending on the time of year, many areas in Maine may have ticksbees, and mosquitos.  Due to the potential problems posed by these insects it's best to arrive prepared should these insects become a nuisance.  Campbase recommends screen enclosuresrepellantsbug zappers, and mesh net hats.  Please click these links to see our recommended items. 

Local Recreation:

The Down East Sunrise Trail ends in Ellsworth near the campground.  It's a multi-use trail for hiking, biking, and off-roading.  Get your mountain bike and ride.  It's 95 miles through an amazing wilderness.
