Description

California, Bishop Park Group Campground.  Parking is in the upper lot along Highway-168.  Although the campground address is "Bishop", the campground is located 12 miles outside town.  

Direction:

From Bishop go west on State Route 168 (Line Street) approximately 16 miles. The Intake Two walk-in and drive in group campgrounds will be on your left side.

Bishop Park Group Campground is part of the Lower Intake 2 Campground with parking up near the highway.  They don't allow sleeping in cars or RV's in the parking lot.  Just 1 "walk-in" group campsite located near the junction of the road to South Lake and the road to Sabrina campground.  It is a walk-in campsite, meaning your vehicle will be parked a short sitance away (25 to 100 yards) and you carry tent and equipment down a small hill to the group area.  There is drinking water and a vault toilet.  The spot has picnic tables and fire rings.  Bear boxes are located there.  This is an active bear area.  The walk-in is seasional and is open from May through September.  Check with the Inyo National Park for exact open times.
