California, Camp 3 Campground, Sequoia National Forest.
Directions:
From Kernville go north on Mountain Highway 99. Camp 3 will be on the West(left) side of the road about 5 miles.

Comment
Camp 3 Campground, Sequoia National Forest is seasonal being open from April to October. Located along the Kern River, the campground has 52 RV and tent camp spots. A group site is also available. Some camp spots are on the River. Camp roads are paved and parking pads are crushed rock. Restrooms and drinking water are available. Limited shade spots. The Campground Elevation is 2800 feet. There is a kayak and raft launch on the south side of the campground.
Camp spots are reservable through Recreation.gov.
Camp spots up to 40 feet are available however, every spot is a different size. Most camp spots are around 30 feet.
Local Recreation:
Road touring and sightseeing are popular in Kernville and the Sequoia National Forest. The Sierra Highway passes the campground.
Boating and fishing on Lake Isabella. Lake levels are low due to the California drought but, fishing is still great. With all the trees in the water, water skiing is not recommended.
The Kern River is located next to the campground. Rafting, tubing, and fly fishing are popular on the Kern River. There are several adventure outfitters in nearby Kernville. Fly fishing guides are also available. Kernville also has several restaurants and souvenir shops.
