Located Adjacent to the Ortega Highway (Highway 74), 25 Miles east of San Juan Capistrano and 5 miles west of Lake Elsinore.
Comment
El Cariso Campground is open all year with 24 RV and tent camp spots. RV's no larger than 22 feet due to narrow campground roads and small parking pads. No hookups, no electric, no dump station.
Reservations: No reservations. First come, first serve.
Use caution when entering the roadway from the campground, traffic travels fast past the campground.
Local Recreation:
The hiking trails in the Cleveland National Forest are a popular activity from this campground.
This portion of Ortega Highway is popular with motorcycles. The highway is winding in this area.
Mountain biking is popular in the Cleveland National Forest.
