Directions From Bangor:
North or South bound on I-95 take highway I-295 Eastbound toward Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.  After approximately 5 miles, transition to US-1A east bound toward Bar Harbor.  Continue to follow US-1A East.  The destination will be on the left in approximately 1 mile.  Use caution when entering and exiting the campground, Highway-1A can be very busy.

Comment

The Holden Family Campground is seasonal being open from mid May through mid October.  The campground has 38 tenting and RV sites.  The park has full hookup and pull through camp spots.  Big rigs up to approximately 80 feet can be accommodated. This campground is located on Highway-1A.  40 miles Southbound on the 1A you will find Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.  The Hollywood Casino is located just six miles to the North of the campground.  The park is located in a good spot near most services including fuel and food.
 
There is miniature gold and go-carts near the campground.  Fuel and Diesel is available across the highway.  Beside the campground is the Holden RV repair.

Note:  Depending on the time of year, many areas in Maine may have ticksbees, and mosquitos.  Due to the potential problems posed by these insects it's best to arrive prepared should these insects become a nuisance.  Campbase recommends screen enclosuresrepellantsbug zappers, and mesh net hats.  Please click these links to see our recommended items.
