Maine, HTR Acadia. Formerly known as Somes Sound View Campground.

Directions:

Take highway 3 out of Ellsworth toward Bar Harbor. Once you cross onto Mount Desert Island, transition right to highway 102. After approximately 7 miles, turn left onto Hall Quarry Road. The campground will be on the left in approximately 1 mile.

Note: Halls Quarry road is U shaped and returns back to Highway 102. Therefore, if you miss the first left turn then take the next left onto Halls Quarry Road and the campground will be on the right in approximately two miles.

HTR Acadia Campground has tenting, RV sites and cabins. The campground has 26 RV sites with some on the waterfront. Located 12 miles from Bar Harbor, Maine, HTR Acadia is a peaceful vacation destination. Downtown Southwest Harbor is approximately five miles from the campground where there are shops and restaurants. It's a quaint Maine sea village and it's not as crowded as Bar harbor. Acadia National Park is nearby making this campground a great location for touring the park and area. Please click here to see the parks website: The campground is open from late spring to the fall.
