Description

Nevada, Nevada Beach Campground is located on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe.  Part of the National Forest, Lake Tahoe Basin Managment District. 

Direction:

Nevada Beach Campground is located 1.5 miles north of the California-Nevada state line, on Highway 50.  Northbound on Highway-50, go left onto Elk Point Road.  The campground entrance will be at the end of the road.

Comment

Nevada Beach Campground has 54 seasonal RV or tent camp spots.  The campground is seasonal being open from May through October.  Most camp spots have large shade trees.  Nevada Beach is located on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe in Nevada.  Portable water, restrooms, and fire rings are available at the campground.  The campground is one of the few with beach access to Lake Tahoe.  Dogs are allowed with restrictions. Maximum 2 pets per site. No dogs on beach.   The elevation is 6,100 feet.  A laundry room is not available at the campground.  Bears do frequent the campground, please store all food properly.  The campground has paved camp roads and pads.  Reservations are available through www.recreation.gov.  A few camp spots are up to 60 feet long however, most are 35 to 40 feet.  Group sites are available.  Its one of the nicest campgrounds on Lake Tahoe.

Local Recreation:

The town of South Lake Tahoe has several paved bike trails to explore.  Road biking around Lake Tahoe is also popular.  It's a 72 mile loop. 
 
There is hiking everywhere with the Pacific Crest Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail to mention a few.
 
Boating and water sports are wonderful on Lake Tahoe.  The water is warm enough to swim for just a few summer months.  
 
Just two miles south of the campground on Lake Tahoe Bulivard is the Nevada state line where you will find several casinos and restaurants.
