Zephyr Cove Resort and Campground has 150 RV or tent camp spots available.  A resort lodge and camp cabins are also available.  The campground is located across Highway 50 from Lake Tahoe.  The resort covers both sides of the highway.  Camp roads and parking pads are all paved.  Full hookups are available.  Big rigs up to approximately 40 feet can be accommodated.  This campground fills up quickly so make reservations early.  There are bears in the area so store food properly.  The resort has a beautiful sand beach and pier.  Jet ski rentals are available at the pier.  There is also a small bar and restaurant on the beach.  Zepher Cove Resort is a National Campground operated by a private concessionaire.  Pets are allowed.  There are plaigue warnings in the area so it may be best to leave the pets at home.

Local Recreation:

The town of South Lake Tahoe has several paved bike trails to explore.  Road biking around Lake Tahoe is also popular.  It's a 72 mile loop.

There is hiking everywhere with the Pacific Crest Trail and the Tahoe Rim Trail to mention a few.

Boating and water sports are wonderful on Lake Tahoe.  The water is warm enough to swim for just a few summer months.

Just two miles south of the campground on Lake Tahoe Bulivard is the Nevada state line where you will find several casinos and restaurants.
