California, Anza Borrego Desert State Park.  This is a general information page for all the campgrounds in the state park.  Each developed campground has it's own Campbase web page.  Links to the campground are below in the table.  For private parks in the area use the Campbase address search for Borrego Springs, California.

Directions:

From the Borrego Springs traffic circle, travel west on Palm Canyon for approximately two miles.  Continue driving straight into the Anza Borrego State Park Information Center.  

Note:  Most campgrounds in the park do not have an address.  The address used here is for the Anza Borrego Desert State Park Visitors Center.  However, the Campbase map pinpointing each campground will be accurate.

The Anza Borrego Desert State Park has three developed campgrounds and nine undeveloped campgrounds.  These campgrounds are listed below.  In addition, Anza-Borrego is the only park in the state that allows open camping throughout the 600,00 acre park.

Camping is available year round however, the prime season is October 1 through April 30.  Reservations are recommended for the developed campgrounds during the prime season.

The Borrego Palm Canyon Campground is located near the Anza Borrego Desert State Park Visitors Center.  It's arguably the nicest campground in the Anza Borrego Park system.  It can accommodate RV's and tents.  It's also the only start park campground with full hookups.  
 
Developed Campgrounds:
Borrego Palm Canyon. -  There are 48 sites with full hook-ups, restrooms and showers are also available.
Tamarisk Grove. -  Has small cabins and tent camping.  Small RV's under 18 feet can be accommodated. 
Vern Whitaker Horse Camp -  Has 10 equestrian camp sites with restrooms, showers, and drinking water. 
 
Primitive Campgrounds:
Arroyo Salado, Culp Valley, Canon Sin Nombre, Badlands Overlook, Coyote Canyon, Blair Valley, Yaqui Well, Yaqui Pass, Box Willow.
 
Pets are allowed in the campgrounds.  Pets are not allowed on the trails.
 
The maximum RV's and trailer length is 35 feet however, the open camping areas can accommodate RV's of any size.  
 
All vehicles operated in the park must be street legal.  Off roading is not allowed except on certain dirt roads.  For true off road vehicles it's best to us nearby Ocotillo Wells State Vehicle Recreation Area.  
 
Bicycles are permitted on jeep roads and paved roads.  They are not allowed on trails or off road.  
 
Equestrians are welcome on all primitive roads, equestrian trails in Coyote Canyon and on the California Riding and Hiking Trail. Horses are excluded from all hiking trails.  Cross country horse travel is not permitted
 
Reservations can be made at www.parks.ca.gov.
